Produced by biofermentation, which cuts CO2 emissions by 65–93% compared to conventional methods, the resulting molecule is bio-identical to the vitamin C naturally found in fruit and vegetables, in its directly assimilable dextrorotatory form.

Vitamin C contributes to normal immune function and to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue. It contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress, and to normal collagen formation for the normal function of skin, bones, cartilage and gums. It also supports the absorption of plant-based iron and the regeneration of vitamin E. In pure unmodified L-ascorbic acid form, these functions benefit from optimal bioavailability and faster action than buffered forms such as ascorbates.

L-ascorbic acid is the natural, directly usable form of vitamin C. Buffered forms like sodium or calcium ascorbate are salts with neutralised acidity, sometimes better tolerated by sensitive stomachs, but generally less bioavailable and adding unwanted minerals.
