Acerola (Malpighia glabra) is a small tropical fruit native to South America, naturally 20 to 30 times richer in vitamin C than an orange. Dynveo has chosen a certified organic extract, concentrated using a gentle process that preserves the fruit’s full natural vitamin complex. Unlike synthetic vitamin C (isolated ascorbic acid), acerola’s vitamin C comes with bioflavonoids, carotenoids and polyphenols that support its assimilation by the body. The acerola used by Dynveo comes from certified organic farms in South America, where a tropical climate and rich soils allow the fruit to reach an exceptional vitamin C concentration. Harvesting takes place at optimal ripeness, while the fruit is still green and ascorbic acid content is at its peak, and low-temperature drying preserves the natural cofactors that make all the difference compared with isolated ascorbic acid.

Vitamin C contributes to normal immune system function, the reduction of tiredness, normal collagen formation for skin, bones and cartilage, and the protection of cells from oxidative stress (EFSA-authorised claims). It also supports the absorption of plant-based iron. Bioavailability studies show that acerola’s plant matrix — rich in bioflavonoids, polyphenols and pectins — positively influences the absorption and retention of vitamin C in the body. Several scientific studies (Uchida et al., 2011; Righetto et al., 2005) have shown that vitamin C from natural sources comes with cofactors that enhance its antioxidant action. Dynveo has chosen never to add synthetic vitamin C to its acerola extracts, unlike many competitors.

Take 2 capsules a day with a glass of water, with a meal. Morning or midday intake is recommended, as vitamin C can be stimulating for some people in the evening. A 1-3 month course is recommended, renewable, and particularly relevant in autumn and winter. A 60-capsule bottle covers one month at 2 capsules a day; a single capsule a day works well as a maintenance dose.

Not recommended for people with kidney stones (oxalates) or hypersensitivity to high-dose vitamin C. If on anticoagulant treatment, consult a healthcare professional before supplementing. Organic acerola or synthetic vitamin C: which to choose?

Acerola provides natural vitamin C alongside cofactors (bioflavonoids, polyphenols) that support its absorption. Synthetic vitamin C is chemically identical but isolated, without these cofactors. For everyday use, organic acerola is the most complete choice; for higher doses (above 500mg a day), Dynveo’s pure Quali-C vitamin C can be a useful complement.

Why keep organic acerola refrigerated?

Natural vitamin C is sensitive to heat, light and humidity. Refrigerated storage preserves the integrity of the active compound and ensures optimal titration until the bottle is finished.
