Buy French Organic Spirulina Flakes: high-phycocyanin, low-temperature dried

Dynveo French Organic Spirulina Flakes 250g is an exceptional microalgae grown in the south of France, certified organic and dried at low temperature to preserve its richness in phycocyanin (25%). Available at our Paris shop, with Click & Collect and delivery across France and Europe.

Spirulina grown in France with full traceability

The quality of spirulina fundamentally depends on its growing conditions. Dynveo’s spirulina is grown in the south of France, in ponds fed by filtered water guaranteed free of heavy metals. This French cultivation offers full traceability, from the growing pond to the bag on our shelves. French and European food safety regulations are among the strictest in the world, guaranteeing the absence of contaminants in every batch.

Organic certification and quality commitment

Organic certification for this spirulina confirms it is grown without synthetic pesticides, chemical fertilisers, and under an environmentally responsible specification. Achieving organic certification for spirulina remains a demanding process, reflecting the producer’s commitment to sustainable farming.

The flake format: optimal nutrient preservation

Unlike spirulina tablets, which require added binders and mechanical compression that generates heat, flakes are obtained by simply low-temperature drying fresh spirulina. This gentle process maximises the preservation of fragile compounds, particularly phycocyanin, vitamins and enzymes. The flakes have an intense blue-green colour, a visible sign of high phycocyanin content. They can be eaten directly, sprinkled over salads or blended into a smoothie.

Phycocyanin: spirulina’s blue treasure

Phycocyanin is spirulina’s most remarkable compound. This blue protein pigment, unique among microalgae, reaches 25% in Dynveo’s spirulina. For a 3g serving, that’s 750mg of phycocyanin, a quantity rarely matched by other spirulina on the market. Phycocyanin is a powerful natural antioxidant that helps protect cells from oxidative stress and supports normal immune system function — this richness is what gives Dynveo spirulina its intense colour. Spirulina also contains around 60-70% complete protein, including all eight essential amino acids, making it a fine choice for athletes, vegetarians and vegans, along with highly bioavailable iron, beta-carotene and vitamin B12.

How to use & precautions

Start with half a measuring scoop (about 1.5g) and gradually increase to 3-7g a day. Flakes can be eaten directly, in a smoothie, sprinkled over a salad, in fresh fruit juice, yoghurt or cold soup. Best taken earlier in the day. Avoid heating spirulina above 40°C to preserve its fragile nutrients. A 250g bag provides around 35 to 80 days of use depending on dosage.

Food supplement. Not a substitute for a varied, balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Keep out of reach of children.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between spirulina flakes and tablets?

Spirulina flakes are obtained by simply low-temperature drying fresh spirulina, with no binders or mechanical compression. This gentle process maximises preservation of fragile nutrients such as phycocyanin and vitamins. Tablets require added excipients and a tableting process that can generate heat, so flakes generally offer superior nutritional quality.

Is spirulina suitable for vegetarians and vegans?

Yes, spirulina is a 100% plant-based product, naturally gluten-free and perfectly suited to vegetarian and vegan diets. Its richness in complete protein and bioavailable iron makes it particularly relevant for people who don’t eat animal protein, and it also contains vitamin B12, a nutrient often lacking in vegan diets.
