Buy Organic French Spirulina Strands: raw, uncompressed form
Dynveo’s Organic French Spirulina in whole strands is a superfood in its most natural form, grown in southern France and low-temperature dried. Available at our Paris shop, with Click & Collect and delivery across France and Europe. This 90g pouch contains organic spirulina strands titrated to a minimum 25% phycocyanin, ideal for smoothies, juices and cooking.
Why choose strands over tablets
Strands are the least processed form of spirulina after harvest and drying. Unlike tablets, which require compression, strands retain the natural structure of dried spirulina — no extra mechanical processing means maximum preservation of phycocyanin, enzymes, vitamins and other heat-sensitive nutrients. Their light, airy texture dissolves easily into smoothies, fruit juice, yoghurt, cold soups or flavoured water, or can be sprinkled over a salad, avocado or bowl.
Phycocyanin: an exceptional natural antioxidant
Phycocyanin is spirulina’s unique blue pigment, a phycobiliprotein central to this cyanobacteria’s photosynthesis, and one of the most studied natural antioxidants, capable of neutralising several types of free radicals. With a minimum 25% titration, Dynveo’s spirulina strands rank among the highest-quality on the market — many conventional spray-dried spirulinas contain only 5–15% phycocyanin.
Grown in France, dried below 40°C
Dynveo’s spirulina is grown in freshwater ponds in southern France, certified organic, with full traceability from pond to packaging. Low-temperature drying (below 40°C) is the cornerstone of quality, preserving heat-sensitive nutrients in full. Each batch is tested by an independent laboratory.
A complete nutritional profile
Spirulina contains 60–70% complete protein, including all eight essential amino acids, making it one of the most concentrated plant protein sources. It’s also rich in highly bioavailable iron, beta-carotene (provitamin A, 605µg per 3g, 75% NRV), B vitamins and minerals (zinc, manganese, copper, selenium), plus gamma-linolenic acid (GLA), a rare omega-6 fat.
How to use & precautions
Recommended dose is 3–5g a day, about one level teaspoon. If new to spirulina, start with 1g a day for the first three days, then gradually increase by 1g every two or three days. Dissolve strands in liquids at room or cold temperature — avoid adding to preparations above 40°C to preserve phycocyanin.
Does not replace a varied, balanced diet. Reseal the pouch tightly after each use.
Frequently asked questions
How much spirulina is in the 90g pouch?
The pouch contains 90g of strands, about 18–30 days of use depending on dose (3–5g/day).
Do strands taste the same as tablets?
Yes, both have Dynveo spirulina’s characteristic slightly herbal, iodine-like taste; strands integrate more naturally into recipes, dissolving and releasing flavour more gradually.
Can I mix spirulina strands with hot food?
Best to stay below 40°C to preserve phycocyanin and other heat-sensitive nutrients — cold or room-temperature preparations are best.
