Dynveo uses exclusively chestnut wood (Castanea sativa Mill.) from certified organic French forests, with full raw-material traceability. Activation is done with water steam only — no chemical solvents, acids or oxidising agents — creating an internal network of micropores whose density directly determines the finished product’s adsorption capacity. The formula is reduced to its simplest expression: 100% organic vegetable charcoal powder, with no filler, anti-caking agent, colouring or preservative.

This charcoal has a micropore rate above 92% and an adsorption surface above 800 m² per gram — standards of high-quality activated charcoal used in nutritional therapy. Micropores (under 2 nanometres) are the most effective structures for adsorbing small molecules in the digestive tract: intestinal gas, unwanted ingested substances, fermentation compounds. Fixed carbon content exceeds 95%, confirming the purity of the active matter, verified batch by batch.

Activated vegetable charcoal is recognised by EFSA for its contribution to the reduction of excessive flatulence after eating, via the mechanical adsorption of intestinal gases by the charcoal’s micropores. The action is local and mechanical: charcoal does not enter the bloodstream and does not interact with systemic body functions. It is used to relieve post-meal bloating, flatulence and abdominal discomfort linked to difficult digestion.

Recommended dose is 6 capsules a day, split into two doses of 3, preferably before or after meals identified as bloating triggers, with a large glass of water. Can be used occasionally after a rich meal, or as a short course of a few days; avoid extending beyond two to three weeks without medical advice, as prolonged use can slow transit and temporarily darken stool colour (normal and reversible).

Leave a minimum two-hour gap between activated charcoal and any other medication or supplement, as charcoal can adsorb other active substances and reduce their absorption. Not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women, children and teenagers, unless advised otherwise by a healthcare professional. If on medication, medical advice is needed before starting. Store in a cool, dry place away from light and moisture, out of reach of young children.

Physical vs. chemical activation — what’s the difference?

Dynveo’s water-steam physical activation leaves no chemical residue; chemical activation (with zinc chloride or potassium hydroxide) can leave traces incompatible with organic certification.

Why leave a 2-hour gap with medications?

Activated charcoal indiscriminately adsorbs molecules in the digestive tract, including active drug and supplement ingredients, significantly reducing their absorption if taken together.

Does activated charcoal help with weight loss or appetite?

No — it has no effect on fat metabolism, satiety or weight. Its action is strictly mechanical and local, limited to gas and substance adsorption in the digestive tract.
