Dr Josef Niedermaier, a German pharmacist and researcher, developed a manufacturing process in the 1950s that releases and concentrates these enzymes into a form directly usable by the body, without needing prior digestion — the innovation that sets Regulat Pro Bio apart from any other food supplement on the market. Per 10 ml: energy 5 kcal/21 kJ, protein <0.1 g, carbohydrates 1.2 g, fat <0.1 g, with L+ lactic acid present. Certified organic (DE-ÖKO-006), with no added sugar, preservatives, colourings or alcohol, and no lactose.

L+ (dextrorotatory) lactic acid is a key component of Regulat Pro Bio — unlike D- lactic acid, it is the form the human body naturally produces and metabolises most efficiently. In the gut, it helps maintain an optimal pH in the digestive tract, creating an environment favourable to beneficial bacteria (lactobacilli, bifidobacteria) while making conditions inhospitable to pathogenic microorganisms — a natural prebiotic action many users report noticing within the first few weeks. L+ lactic acid also feeds into the Krebs cycle, the body’s central pathway for cellular energy production, providing a substrate immediately usable by mitochondria.

Take 10 ml (1 tablespoon) 1 to 3 times a day, neat or diluted in a little water, ideally before meals for optimal absorption. Shake well before each use. Loading course: 10 ml 3 times a day for 2–4 weeks. Maintenance course: 10 ml 1–2 times a day. The 350 ml bottle provides around 35 doses of 10 ml, covering 12–35 days depending on dosage.
