Muscle Protein Nutripure in Paris: the protein for regular training
A 50/50 blend of native whey isolate and native milk proteins, 24 g of protein per serving and a neutral taste that works in a shaker as well as in recipes. Listed at Herba Barona in Paris, in the Nutripure range.
A protein designed for frequent training
Muscle Protein is the protein Nutripure designed for regular athletes: people who go to the gym three or four times a week, do CrossFit, Hyrox, combat or team sports, and for whom the post-workout shake is part of the routine. The idea: a good-quality milk protein, a short ingredient list and a daily use that stays sensible over time.
Nutripure is a French brand founded in 2017 by Christophe Carrio, five-time world champion in artistic karate and a qualified dietitian, and his brother Florent, an engineer. The company is based near Toulouse and manufactures in France.
A 50/50 blend of whey isolate and native milk proteins
The formula rests on two ingredients. On one side, a native whey isolate, obtained directly from milk by filtration rather than from cheese-making. On the other, native milk proteins, which contain whey and a large share of casein.
Whey isolate is known for fast digestion, while casein is digested more gradually. Combining them in equal parts gives a supply of amino acids that is both quick and spread over time, well suited to a shake after training or between meals. The brand’s traceability sheet lists European dairy suppliers; the product is GMO-free, not irradiated, with no titanium dioxide and no microcrystalline cellulose.
What a 30 g serving provides
One serving of the neutral version, two level scoops, provides 24 g of protein for 109 kcal, with 0.5 g of fat and 1.8 g of carbohydrate, which is the lactose naturally present in milk. Protein contributes to a growth in muscle mass, to the maintenance of muscle mass and to the maintenance of normal bones.
Each serving also contains 2.6 g of leucine, 5.2 g of BCAAs and 11.1 g of essential amino acids, all naturally present in milk proteins: no isolated amino acid has been added. The patented lactase Tolerase™ L breaks lactose down into simpler sugars, for everyday comfort. Full details are in the Composition tab.
How to use it, and precautions
Pour 250 ml of water or plant milk into a shaker, add 30 g of powder (two level scoops) and shake for about ten seconds. The label indicates 30 to 60 g a day depending on your needs, your diet and your training volume: after the session, as a snack, or at breakfast. The neutral version, with no flavouring or sweetener, also blends into smoothies, porridge or pancake batter. The 750 g bag holds about 25 servings.
Contains milk, from two sources; the emulsifier is sunflower lecithin, not soy. Not suitable for people allergic to milk proteins or for a vegan diet; suitable for vegetarians who eat dairy. People very sensitive to dairy products should start with a small amount. Keep the bag cool, dry and away from light, and close the zip after each use.

Frequently asked questions
How is it different from a classic whey isolate?
A whey isolate contains only whey proteins. Muscle Protein contains 50% whey isolate and 50% native milk proteins, rich in casein. It is slightly less concentrated in protein, with a little more lactose, but still reaches 81% protein.
Does the neutral flavour taste of anything?
Very little: a light milky note in water, which almost disappears in plant milk, a smoothie or a recipe. It is the version to choose for cooking.
Can I take it every day?
Yes, that is what it was designed for. Simply adjust the amount, from 30 to 60 g a day, to the protein you already get from your meals.
