Pure Recovery Nutripure in Paris: your post-workout in a single shaker
Whey isolate, Creapure® creatine, collagen, glycine, magnesium and zinc in one 31 g serving with a neutral taste, instead of lining up five tubs after training. Listed at Herba Barona in Paris, in the Nutripure range.
An all-in-one post-workout, designed for beginners
After a session, many people end up stacking tubs: a whey, some creatine, magnesium in the evening, sometimes collagen. Pure Recovery takes the opposite approach. Nutripure has combined six ingredients in a single 31 g serving, to be shaken with liquid right after training.
The brand designed it first for people starting weight training or returning after a break. Nutripure is a French brand founded in 2017 by Christophe Carrio, five-time world champion in artistic karate and a qualified dietitian, and his brother Florent, an engineer. The company is based near Toulouse and manufactures in France.
What a 31 g serving provides
One serving of the neutral version provides 22 g of protein, 17 g of it from whey isolate; the rest comes from 5 g of collagen peptides, which are proteins too. It also contains 3 g of glycine, 2.2 g of Creapure® creatine, 102 mg of magnesium (27% of the reference intake) and 5 mg of zinc (50%).
The profile is very lean: 92 kcal, 0.3 g of fat and 1.1 g of carbohydrate per serving, with 4.1 g of BCAAs and 8.9 g of essential amino acids. Protein contributes to a growth in muscle mass and to the maintenance of muscle mass. Full ingredients and nutrition facts are in the Composition tab.
Creatine, collagen, magnesium and zinc: the details
The creatine is Creapure®, a creatine monohydrate made in Germany and known for its purity. At 2.2 g per serving, it is a little below the 3 g a day usually taken as a benchmark: if creatine is the core of your routine, a creatine on its own remains the simplest way to reach it.
The collagen is a type I bovine collagen hydrolysed into peptides of around 2000 daltons (Solugel™), with 3 g of glycine. Both enrich the formula in amino acids; neither has an authorised health claim, so we make none.
Magnesium contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue, to the normal functioning of the nervous system and to normal muscle function. Zinc contributes to normal protein synthesis, to the maintenance of normal bones and to the normal function of the immune system.
How to take it, and precautions
Pour 250 ml of water or plant milk into a shaker, add 31 g of powder (one full scoop) and shake for about ten seconds. One serving a day, ideally right after training; on rest days, at breakfast or as an afternoon snack. The 775 g bag holds 25 servings, a little over three weeks.
Contains milk. The added lactase helps break down lactose, but the product is not suitable for people allergic to milk proteins. May contain traces of gluten, eggs, soy, fish and celery. The collagen is bovine, so it is not suitable for vegetarians. For adults only. Developed and made in line with the EN 17444 anti-doping standard.
Pure Recovery or a classic whey? Ask us in Paris
Pure Recovery is not a whey in the strict sense. If your goal is above all more protein, Nutripure’s Whey Isolate Native provides more per serving; our whole whey section helps you compare. Pure Recovery makes more sense when you want a single step after the session.
Herba Barona has been a food supplement shop at 10 rue Théophile Roussel, Paris 12th, since 2006: open Tuesday to Saturday, 9.30 am to 6.30 pm, near Ledru-Rollin and Bastille metro stations.
Frequently asked questions
Can Pure Recovery replace my whey?
Yes, if 22 g of protein a day from a shake is enough for you. If your needs are higher, a classic whey will do more, and the two can be taken at different times of day.
Should I add creatine on the side?
It is not required. A serving provides 2.2 g of Creapure® creatine, a little below the usual 3 g a day benchmark: it is up to you whether to top it up.
Does the neutral flavour taste of anything?
Very little: a light milky note in water, which almost disappears in plant milk or a smoothie. It is the version to choose for cooking.
Where can I find Pure Recovery in Paris?
