Dynveo Sports Shaker 700 ml in Paris: BPA-free and odour-resistant

The Dynveo shaker is a blue 700 ml cup with a gently curved shape that sits well in the hand. The lid screws onto the cup and ends in a drinking spout protected by a cap, with a handle so you can carry it on one finger. A sieve clips in under the lid: it does the mixing, instead of the metal ball found in many models.

The 700 ml capacity gives you room. A serving of powder and 300 to 400 ml of liquid fill little more than half the cup, which leaves enough air to shake hard. Dynveo designed it to go with its sports range, but it works with any powder you need to mix, and even with a few kitchen preparations.

This was the first thing that caught our eye. The cup is made of Ecozen®, a plant-based material derived from biomass, and Dynveo guarantees it free from BPA, free from phthalates and free from microplastics. For something you drink from every day, sometimes several times a day, many of our customers look at this detail first.

Bisphenol A and phthalates are substances most people would rather keep away from what they drink. With this shaker the question does not arise: the guarantee is written in black and white in the manufacturer’s description. The material stays see-through, so you can tell at a glance whether the powder has dissolved properly or whether something is left at the bottom.

Anyone who drinks a whey shake after sport knows the problem: a shaker forgotten for a few hours at the bottom of a bag ends up smelling of sour milk, and chocolate powders eventually leave a brownish film on the sides. Dynveo has dealt with this: the Ecozen® material of its shaker features a technology that makes it resistant to odours and stains.

In practice, the cup holds on to fewer smells from one drink to the next and stays cleaner wash after wash. It does not replace a good rinse straight after use, which is still the best habit, but it makes a real difference when you drink a whey in the morning and flavoured water in the afternoon from the same cup. The sieve is a small perforated part that clips in under the lid. When you shake, the liquid and the powder pass through its openings in both directions, which breaks up clumps and gives a smooth drink in about fifteen seconds. So there is no loose part inside the cup.

For a smooth result, pour in the liquid first, then the powder, clip in the sieve, screw on the lid and close the cap before shaking. For plain flavoured water or a very thin drink, you can also take the sieve out. It is a different approach from the mixing ball: each has its fans, and we stock both types of shaker in our shop.

The shaker naturally goes with the powders in the Dynveo sports range. Dynveo native whey isolate dissolves very quickly with little effort. Dynveo organic plant proteins are thicker: add a little more liquid and shake a few seconds longer. Dynveo BCAA 2.1.1 powder is mixed with water on the same principle.

The shaker is dishwasher-safe. Unscrew the lid, unclip the sieve and put the three parts in separately so that the water reaches every corner, especially the thread and the openings of the sieve. By hand, a bottle brush and hot soapy water are enough. Let it dry taken apart before closing it again.

In your bag, the guaranteed leak-proof lid avoids unpleasant surprises, as long as it is screwed on firmly and the cap is closed. The cup is impact-resistant, designed to cope with the small knocks of a gym bag or a changing room. Does it keep the smell of whey?

Its material is treated to resist odours and stains, so it keeps far fewer smells than an ordinary cup. Rinsing it straight after use is still the best habit, especially with milk-based drinks.

Can it go in the dishwasher?

Yes, it is dishwasher-safe. Separate the cup, the lid and the sieve for a thorough wash, then let it dry taken apart.
