The 30 capsules are exactly thirty days at one capsule a day — the time a course of curcumin needs before you can judge it. If you would rather not commit to a large tub straight away, this is the size to start with.

For longer use, the same ingredient comes in a tub of 60 capsules, cheaper per capsule. The contents are identical in both sizes.

Curcumin is notorious for poor absorption: taken as it is, it passes through the gut without the body keeping much of it. TurmiPure Gold® gets round this with micro-encapsulation in an entirely plant-based matrix of acacia fibre, sunflower oil and organic quillaja bark.

So there is no need for piperine from black pepper, which irritates some mucous membranes, nor for synthetic polysorbate micelles.

The Curcuma longa rhizomes come from organic farms in India. Extraction uses only water and ethanol. The product is vegan, GMO-free and free of synthetic excipients; the capsule is made of plant-based pullulan.

Each capsule contains 300 mg of TurmiPure Gold® extract standardised to 30 % curcuminoids, i.e. 90 mg of curcuminoids a day.

One capsule a day, ideally with a meal containing a little fat: curcumin is fat-soluble. If you take medication, especially blood thinners, or are pregnant, ask a health professional first.

Curcumin is traditionally associated with joint comfort and antioxidant balance; it complements a varied diet rather than replacing it.
