Nutrimuscle L-Arginine in Paris: a BioKyowa arginine base in vegetable capsules
Nutrimuscle L-Arginine is an arginine base with the BioKyowa label, in vegetable capsules, with no other ingredient. Six capsules provide 3,180 mg of arginine, and the 120-capsule jar makes 20 servings. Available in Paris at Herba Barona.
A BioKyowa arginine base, with nothing around it
The ingredient list fits on one line: L-arginine base and the plant-based capsule shell, made of pullulan. No excipient, no colouring, no flavouring. The arginine is in its free form, called “base”, and not in the form of hydrochloride or alpha-ketoglutarate (AAKG), the two variants you most often come across elsewhere.
The raw material carries the BioKyowa label. It is produced by Kyowa, a Japanese manufacturer that has specialised in amino acids for a long time, using a precision fermentation process, at an FSSC 22000 certified site. Nutrimuscle states a purity of at least 98%. It is the small “KQ Kyowa Quality” logo you will see on the side of the jar.
Why the jar carries the Nutrielement logo
Do not be surprised when you pick up the jar: it is marked “Ne nutrielement” and not Nutrimuscle. Nutrielement was the wellness range launched in 2024 by the NLab group, the parent company of Nutrimuscle. In 2026, the brand was brought back under the Nutrimuscle name, and the jars still on sale keep the old logo depending on the batch.
The product is the same: same formula, same manufacturing, same barcode. You will find other jars of this kind in our Nutrimuscle range in Paris, where both logos sit side by side.
6 capsules a day: 3,180 mg of arginine
Nutrimuscle recommends 6 capsules a day, swallowed with a glass of water. This serving provides 3,180 mg of L-arginine. The jar of 120 capsules therefore makes 20 servings, or about twenty days at the recommended rate.
Six capsules is a number that some people prefer to split. Nothing prevents you from taking them in two sittings during the day, for example three in the morning and three before training, as long as you stay within the daily dose indicated. The capsules are of ordinary size and are easy to swallow.
The net weight shown on the jar is 78 g: it is the weight of the powder and the capsules together.
Capsules or powder: choosing your arginine in Paris
The capsule has a simple advantage: no spoon, no taste, nothing to prepare. Arginine powder has a pronounced flavour, which many people find hard to drink plain. For anyone who wants to take it to work or in a gym bag, this jar of 120 capsules is the most practical format.
In our arginine range in Paris, you will also find NOW Foods arginine 1,000 mg tablets, with a higher dose per unit, and a NOW L-arginine and L-citrulline capsules duo for those who want both in the same serving. We are happy to compare labels with you in store, in Paris 12th arrondissement.
Arginine, citrulline and a sports routine
L-arginine and L-citrulline are two neighbouring amino acids, often stored side by side in athletes bags. Nutrimuscle also offers them in the same format: the Nutrimuscle citrulline capsules use the same type of jar and the same Kyowa quality. Some customers alternate them, others take them together, each at their own dose.
Those who follow a more complete routine often add a Nutrimuscle micronised creatine. These supplements come in addition to a varied diet and good sleep, never in their place. To see all the products, our amino acids range and our sport and endurance range bring together everything we have in store.
An amino acid you also find on your plate
Arginine is nothing exotic. It is found naturally in protein-rich foods: squash seeds, nuts and peanuts, meat, fish, eggs or legumes. The body can also produce part of it, which is why it is called semi-essential.
The supplement mainly serves to provide a regular, known amount, without having to count what each meal contains. It does not replace a balanced diet.
Precautions and storage
Do not exceed the recommended 6 capsules a day and keep the jar out of the reach of young children. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding or under medical supervision, ask your doctor for advice before starting. The capsules are plant-based and the product is vegan.
Keep the jar tightly closed, in a dry place away from heat. A question before you get started? Come and see us in our shop in Paris: we have the jar on the shelf.
