Vitamin K2D3 by Dr. Jacob’s in Paris: 50 µg of K2 and 1000 IU of D3 per drop
An oil of vitamins K2 (MK-7) and D3 delivering 50 µg of K2 and 1000 IU of D3 per drop, in a 20 ml bottle that covers roughly 640 days. Available in Paris at Herba Barona.
Twice as much K2 as D3: what sets this formula apart
Most D3 + K2 combinations on the market put vitamin D in the spotlight and add only a small dose of K2, often 20 µg. Dr. Jacob’s Vitamin K2D3 reverses that logic: each drop provides 50 µg of vitamin K2 in MK-7 form for 25 µg (1000 IU) of vitamin D3. This is the ratio sought by people who are primarily after a high K2 intake, without having to juggle several bottles.
That positioning sets it clearly apart from the same brand’s Vitamin D3 K2 FORTE 2000 IU, which is more concentrated in vitamin D, and from the standalone Vitamin K2 MK-7 drops. When we welcome someone to the shop in the 12th arrondissement of Paris, that is exactly the comparison we take the time to make: the right bottle depends on what the person is looking to top up first.
MK-7, the long-chain form of vitamin K2
Vitamin K2 exists in several forms. Dr. Jacob’s chose menaquinone-7, known as MK-7, a long chain recognised for its good bioavailability and its extended presence in the body — where short-chain forms disappear within a few hours. In practice, a single daily dose is enough.
The K2 used here is in the all-trans form, the natural and active configuration of the molecule. It is a detail that serious manufacturers state on the label, and a difference in quality that does not show up in the shelf price but can be read in the technical sheet.
A coconut oil rather than a capsule
Vitamins K2 and D3 are fat-soluble: they need a fatty carrier to be properly absorbed. Here they are already dissolved in an MCT oil derived from coconut, a neutral-tasting and well-tolerated base. No capsule to digest, no unnecessary excipient: the formula contains only coconut oil, a blend of tocopherols (natural vitamin E, as an antioxidant), menaquinone-7 and cholecalciferol.
The drop format has another advantage, one our customers in the 12th arrondissement of Paris appreciate: the dose can be adjusted. You can move from 1 to 2 drops depending on the season or on what else you are taking, without changing product. The bottle holds around 640 drops, close to two years at one drop a day.
What these two vitamins contribute
The roles of vitamin K and vitamin D are among the best established in nutrition. Vitamin K contributes to the maintenance of normal bones and to normal blood clotting. Vitamin D contributes to the maintenance of normal bones and teeth, to the maintenance of normal muscle function, to the normal function of the immune system, and to the normal absorption and utilisation of calcium and phosphorus.
This complementarity explains the duo’s success: vitamin D supports calcium absorption, while vitamin K takes part in directing it properly towards the bone. Both work in the same direction on bone capital, which is why it makes sense to combine them in a single bottle.
How to use it
The recommended dose is 1 to 2 drops per day, taken directly in the mouth or on a spoon, preferably during a meal containing a little fat. One drop provides 50 µg of K2 and 1000 IU of D3; two drops bring the intake to 100 µg and 2000 IU.
Close the bottle carefully after use and store it away from light and moisture, at room temperature. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. A food supplement is not a substitute for a varied, balanced diet or a healthy lifestyle.
Precautions for use
This product is not suitable for people taking anticoagulant treatment of the vitamin K antagonist type (coumarins). Vitamin K interferes directly with this type of medicine: in that case, your doctor’s advice is essential before any supplementation.
For adults only, not recommended for anyone under 18. The vitamin D3 used is of animal origin (lanolin from sheep’s wool): the formula is suitable for vegetarians but not for vegans. Keep out of reach of young children. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding or on medication, ask a healthcare professional for advice.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference with Dr. Jacob’s Vitamin D3 K2 FORTE?
The FORTE provides 2000 IU of vitamin D3 per drop and puts the emphasis on vitamin D. The K2D3 presented here favours vitamin K2, with 50 µg per drop for 1000 IU of D3. The choice depends on what you want to reinforce first.
How long does one bottle last?
Around 640 drops, close to two years at one drop a day, or a little under a year at two drops. It is one of the most economical formats to use in our vitamin D3 section.
Can it be taken all year round?
Yes, at the recommended dose. Many people increase their vitamin D intake from October to April, when sunlight is scarce in Paris, and reduce it in summer. The drop format is precisely what allows that kind of adjustment.
Is it available in store in Paris?
Yes, Dr. Jacob’s Vitamin K2D3 is on the shelf in our shop at 10 rue Théophile Roussel, in the 12th arrondissement of Paris, open Tuesday to Saturday. You can also order it on the site and collect it in person.
